New Calibration Station Launched

Following the award of a capital equipment grant from the East of England Development Agency, Cambridge Sensotec has added another service to its arsenal by building a bespoke, hi-tech calibration station at its manufacturing plant in St Ives, Cambs. The introduction of this provision is a valuable extension of the company’s portfolio, enabling an enhancement of the relationships with existing and new customers. Over recent years, Cambridge Sensotec has supplied large quantities of toxic, explosive and oxygen detectors to various companies across the globe. The new calibration station will enable them to maintain these units quickly and efficiently.

The calibration station itself includes bespoke Industrial Scientific DS2 docking stations and a BW Technologies MicroDock II along with a vast range of calibration gases and a bespoke PC with the latest software. A fully trained technician has been employed to run the new system. With most personal gas detectors requiring calibration every six months, sending them to Cambridge Sensotec to be calibrated could now be the quickest and most cost effective way of keeping them running accurately and safely.
